The Grind and Seal is the process of concrete grinding a slab and applying a sealing agent to seal and protect the floor surface. The process is simple and fast. The concrete surface is ground first with coarse grit and then with fine grit. It is often grind the concrete floor 3-4 passes with metal bonded diamond shoes.
Once the right level of stone exposure has been achieved with the concrete grinding, then you could use finer diamond tools to remove visible scratching and get a flat surface ready for a coating. The surface should be thoroughly cleaned with a Polyvac to ensure the surface is completely dust free. When the surface is cleaned and allowed to dry, a seal coat can be applied over the concrete. The sealer can be a matte, semi-gloss or high gloss.
